Perhaps you’re still looking for the perfect Christmas tree for your home, there’s still time to get one, freshly cut.
Yuletide Christmas Tree Farms in Upper Coverdale is one of many locations where you can cut your own.
Owner Chuck Secord says it’s a great thing to do with the family.
He says, “Most times when people come out here, they are most focussed on the experience than they are the actual tree. They’re having fun, especially families. The little ones really enjoy it. They look at quite a few trees before they find just the right one”
Secord says you pick the tree and they provide the saw.
He says families have been coming in since early this month, but he expects there will be many last minute tree cutters picking this weekend.
Second says some people come to the tree farm as early as October to tag the tree they want, and then return in December to cut it.
