Last Day To Make Your Turkey Donation!

The 18th annual Sue Stultz and Moncton Firefighters Association Turkey Drive wraps up tonight.

As of closing time down back at the St George Blvd fire station last night, they had collected 2511 turkeys.

Their goal this year is 4050 turkeys.

Sue Stultz says one of the best things about the turkey drive is seeing how happy people are to give back to their community.

She says she remembers an 8 year old boy who stood in line to talk to her one year, who said he was excited to be able to donate a turkey, because his family received one the year before.

Stultz also gets a lot of support from outside of Greater Moncton as well. She says in the past she has received money from British Columbia, in California, and in Florida in support of the Turkey Drive. They have told her they just can’t believe the generosity and how they look after our people in need.

Turkey central is open an hour earlier today, as 9am. The drive wraps up at 7 tonight.
