Youth are using photographs and music to express themselves.
It’s all part of a program called Cameras For Healing.
The Founder says the teens are from the Moncton Boys and Girls Club, who will be working with amputees from Haiti. They lost limbs in the earthquake in 2010. They’ll be taking the pictures.
Maurice Henri says they’ll begin the project in January with Sistema, who will be performing Beethoven’s Fifth. They’ll hold a concert in June.
“While the Sistema kids are playing their instruments, they’ll have big screens with the photography that will match or to dance with the music. So it is a beautiful marriage.”
Henri says many of the youth are dealing with issues at home, bullying or poverty.
