Lofty Fundraising Goal Set By Tree Of Life Campaign

The Tree of Hope fundraiser campaign has set a lofty goal this year of $1.7 million.

Paul Maurice is the Vice Chair of the organization.

He explains some of the money this year will be used for the cancer treatment centre at the Georges-Dumont Hospital.

“Replacing the heads of three machines and donating the funds to the Auberge as well as for the research institute,” says Maurice.

He says since the campaign started in 1989 they have raised $21 million.

Maurice adds of the 60,000 treatments performed this year at the centre, 43% are from Westmorland and Kent Counties.
