One dollar from every fillup at an Irving Oil gas station today is being donated to the Fuel The Care program that helps local families with their travel costs between where they live and hospitals which can add up.
Jean Middleton of Saint John knows that first hand. Her son Logan, who’s almost 9 now, underwent 25 surgeries in Halifax at the I-W-K. Without Fuel The Care, Middleton says Logan’s dad would not have been able to make the trip from Saint John to Halifax each weekend which his son looked forward to.
50 thousand families have been helped by Fuel The Care since 2002.
