The downtown centre project is only a day away from reaching a crucial milestone.
After a special Moncton City Council meeting yesterday afternoon, City Manager Jacques Dube was asked about the next step in the project.
The biggest step this week is the financial and legal close on Wednesday when major contracts will be signed.
He says the next step after that will be starting detailed design work over the winter months. City Council will also have to recommend a Project Manager.
Dube says they aim to have construction started by March 15th of 2016, weather permitting.
