IT Company Adding 1,000 Jobs In Metro Moncton

One thousand new jobs are expected to be created in Metro Moncton over ther next five years thanks to a partnership between Las Vegas-based BMM Testlabs and the Gallant government.

BMM is a world-leader in game testing and already has a small presence in Dieppe with 50 employees.

Stephen Lund, CEO of Opportunities New Brunswick, says as a provincial agency they are conscious about taxpayer dollars being used.

“That’s why it is structured such the way it is. We’re not giving them a pile of money and say we hope you come here. We’re going to work with the company. You guys find the work, we find the people. If it works out, we incent you.”

Lund says the incentive package includes approximately $20,000 per job once the job is created.

Some of those positions are expected to include quality assurance testers, engineers, computer scientists and business development managers.
