The International Day of Older Persons is being marked by the the Town of Riverview Seniors Roundtable on Sunday.
Liason Riverview Councillor Cecile Cassista says the group is celebrating its fifth year by acknowledging the significant role seniors have contributed to both our history and future.
This year three centenarians will be recognized: Muriel Copeland who turns 100; Gertie LaPierre who turns 103; and Mildred Wilson who turns 101.
Ivan and Vivian Hicks will provide entertainment during the event which will be held from 2 to 4-pm on Sunday at the Chocolate River Station.
