For many Canadians the environment is the close second as the top issue after the economy.
Joanna Kerr of Greenpeace Canada says the economy and the environment are absolutely interlinked.
She says we are a country that can actually move to a renewable clean economy and create trillions of dollors and new jobs.
Kerr says Stephen Harper has put all his eggs in the fossil fuels tar sands basket whether its around oil sands expansion on permission to advance drilling in the arctic and we are seeing the folly of that now.
