Cyclists Raising Money For Fight Against Type 1 Diabetes

Over 70 cyclists are planning to take part in the MBS Cyclebetes for Type 1 Diabetes.

The 9th annual event is one of the largest fall fundraisers for Moncton’s Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The ride is in two parts, with a morning and afternoon section, both starting and ending from Mike’s Bike Shop in Dieppe.

Participants can choose their ride distance, from 60 km all the way up to 230 km.

Event organizer Mike LeBlanc says the fundraising goal for this year is 25-thousand dollars – all proceeds go to JDRF for research for a cure.
