New Brunswick RCMP Seize More Than 9,000 Pot Plants Over Last Few Weeks

New Brunswick RCMP have dealt a blow to marijuana producers over the last few weeks.

They have seized more than 9-thousand pot plants, after searching over 3-hundred suspected growing sites.

RCMP say once mature, these plants could have produced up to 4.5 million joints.

Despite some grow sites being rigged with boobytraps, there were no injuries reported.

The RCMP needs the public’s help to eradicate marijuana grow-ops.

It is in the best interest of communities to help deter this kind of activity, and the public is encouraged to report suspicious behaviour to local police or reporting it anonymously through Crime Stoppers at www.crimenb.ca or by calling Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or texting TIP212 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637).
