A 9-member team representing senior’s groups in the province meeting for two hours with Premier Gallant in hopes of a complete reversal on the senior asset grab.
Cecile Cassista Of the Seniors Coalition and Nursing Home Residents’ Rights says they wanted to hear a committment from the Premier but that didn’t happen.
She said they are willing to work with the Premier and his ministers but they have this obstacle that needed to be dealth with.
The province wants seniors who can afford it to contribute more to their nursing home care.
