CFIA Gives Update On Chicken Restrictions When Crossing Can/US Border

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says chicken products from California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington are now allowed to enter Canada.
However, there is still a long list of restrictions you should check out before heading to an American grocery store.
The CFIA implemented the restrictions this summer as a way to protect Canadian poultry resources from an outbreak of the highly pathogenic avian flu.
States such as Minnesota, Iowa, North and South Dakota, and Wisconsin, are still on the restricted list when it comes to crossing the border with their chicken.
The poultry products include meat, eggs, pet food, feathers, manure, and live birds.
