RCMP Say Too Many Drivers Speeding In Construction Zones

Mounties in New Brunswick say too many drivers are speeding through construction zones this summer.

Numerous tickets have been handed out recently with one driver being recorded at a speed of 124 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

RCMP say speeding puts both workers and drivers at risk in construction zones since lanes are often narrower and roads are unfinished.

Police have been cracking down on speeders in a number of areas this summer including in the Fredericton and Gagetown areas.
