Two hikers who became stranded on a rock face on the Fundy Trail last evening are now safe and sound.
The Joint Force Task Atlantic, or the JFTA, is reporting that both of the men have been rescued by a Cormorant helicopter and they are not hurt.
Platoon Chief Eric Garland of the Saint John Fire Department says the men became stranded last evening after one hiker made it up the rock face but the other got stuck partway up.
Along with Saint John, emergency crews from Hampton and Sussex also involved in the rescue.
