Things are heating up in St. Stephen as the Canadian Horseshoe Pitching Championship enters the final stage.
President of Horseshoe Canada, Jason Rideout says if you were thinking of coming in to watch a match, now is the best time, “The (Garcelon) Civic Center is open, there’s no charge to come and watch, and we are encouraging people to come in and check it out.”
Rideout says the finals will start at 12 o’clock noon, and will wrap up around 4pm. Each division will find it’s national champion in Men’s, Women’s, Sr. Men’s, as well as the Peewee and Jr. divisions.
He says many of the competitors are pitching 75 % — that’s three out of four horseshoes on the stake.
So, who has the luckiest horseshoe?
