UPDATE: RCMP Release More Details Into Search For Man In Salisbury Road Area

Codiac RCMP are continuing their search for a man in his twenties who threatened to do harm to himself, and is beleived to be carrying a firearm.

Officers were called to Shamrock Avenue at around 5:30 this morning, after reports of a man doing damage inside a house. Another person inside the home was also assaulted.

He reportedly left the home and was seen going into a shed where a firearm is believed to have been stored, before he headed into the woods.

Constable Jullie Rogers-Marsh says Salisbury Road has been closed to all traffic between Edinburgh Drive and Hump Yard Road, as officers conduct their search.

Residents living in the area are also being asked to stay in their homes, as a precaution.

RCMP say any residents who choose to leave the area, will not be permitted back in, until the officers have cleared.
