Moncton Headstart’s school supply campaign gets underway today.
It’s for families that are financially struggling and are unable to afford school supplies.
Parents Program Coordinator Lorie Ann Carson says the drive runs from August 10th until the 27th.
She says families that are needing assistance in getting their children ready for school, can call the office to see if they qualify, and then make an appointment to come in.
The families will be able to choose half of their supplies and also a book bag.
Donations of school supplies are also being accepted at Jean Coutu, Giant Tiger and at Moncton Headstart.
Some of the items that are in high demand, are headphones, Crayola markers and USB sticks.
