Riverview Woman Pleads Guilty In “Baby Taylor” Case

A New Brunswick woman pleaded guilty to three charges today relating to the death of her newborn son seven years ago.

31 year old Christine Margaret Wood was originally facing a charge of attempted murder, but that was withdrawn today and a new charge of neglecting to obtain assistance in child birth was added.

She pleaded guilty to that charge as well as concealing the body of a child, and improperly or indecently interfering with, or offering an indignity to human remains.

The charge says the child died immediately before, during or in a short time after birth, and that is an indictable offence.

Wood will be back in court October 9th for sentencing.
