Mobile Farmers Truck Celebrates Successful First Month In Metro Moncton

Over the last four weeks, you may have noticed a bright red truck selling local farm produce in Moncton.

The CEO and Co-founder of the Mobile Farmers’ Market says they’ve been open for a month, and business has been booming.

Frederic Laforge says the public support has been outstanding.

“There’s not a single that goes by where we don’t hear this is such a great idea, thank you for doing this, it’s awesome,” says Laforge. “We’ve got fresh local produce and bread and all that stuff and people are really supportive of the idea, so, so far so good!”

Laforge says they get between 250 and 400 customers each day.

He adds local farmers are also happy because they can reach more people.

“It makes the discussion when it comes to buying a little bit more or buying more in bulk and having better pricing for us and transferring to the public afterwards easier,” says Laforge.

He says they have already been approached by people interested in franchise opportunities.

“We already have at least one, or possibly two people who want to have a truck next year, so you might see even three trucks next year,” says Laforge. “I don’t want to jinx myself but it’s going really good.”

Laforge says on their website they have a Live Inventory that catalogues all the items they will be selling that day.
