New Brunswick Delegation To Premiers’ Climate Summit To Include David Coon

The Premiers’ Climate Summit is a crucial turning point for Canada and New Brunswick, according to provincial Green Party Leader David Coon.

Coon is going to be part of Premier Gallant’s delegation to the climate change summit in Quebec City tomorrow.

He says a new poll from Oracle Research shows New Brunswickers want more action on climate change with nearly 70 percent wanting a commitment to renewable energy sources, and green energy jobs.

Almost three quarters of New Brunswickers also want a legally binding cap on carbon pollution.

This summit is in advance of a new international agreement expected to be struck in Paris this December to avoid a 2 degree increase in global warming.
