Spring conditions are tantilizingly close across the Maritimes!
Even deer are venturing out to sample the surrounding and many are showing up along or even .. on .. many of our roads and highways.
Biologist Peter MacDonald (in Nova Scotia) says motorists need to be careful, especially in the early evening or early morning hours.
“Motorists should be extra cautious really and be aware of the possibility they may encounter deer along the road.”
The deer are out there nibbling on tree buds, pine needles and grass.
MacDonald says despite the harsh winter with lots of snow, the deer populations of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick seem to be in good shape.
