Record Cold In Moncton

A new record low was set in Metro Moncton early this morning.

Environment Canada says the temperature fell to -13.5 C at the airport today.

That broke the old record of -11.7 C, set in 1964.

Many New Brunswick communities were even colder than that overnight.

Woodstock and Doaktown each dropped to -22 C while Edmundston bottomed out at a frigid -28 C this morning.
