The Moncton Fire Department helped to rescue eight people from a burning building early this morning.
Platoon Chief Paul Bruens says when fire crews arrived on scene at the corner of West Main and Enterprise Streets at around 2 this morning, there were flames coming from the rooming house.
It took them about a half hour to get the fire under control.
Bruens says the fire was in an old home that had been divided up into apartments.
Two apartments have been extensively damage and there is water and smoke damage to the remainder of the building.
A Fire Investigator is back on the scene this morning to try and determine a cause.
No one was injured.
