Another Snow Day For Students In SE New Brunswick

It’s another snow day for students in the Anglophone East School District today.

Most students come in by bus and road conditions after Sunday’s storm are still treacherous in parts of the province.

Plows are still struggling to clean up.

Superintendent Gregg Ingersoll says it’s all about the safety of the students and they have to decide before 6 o’clock in the morning whether or not they are at risk.

“Half a day is better than no day but it’s not an easy sceanario for parents when we send home students in the middle of the day.”

Ingersoll has the final say on whether or not schools will open.

But first he talks with the transportation manager, and they look at weather reports and road conditions and they also speak to other school districts.
