Fitch And Gallant Spar Over Jobs Numbers

The first question period in the Legislature of 2015 began with a lot of back and forth on jobs.

Opposition Leader Bruce Fitch says the Premier is 1300 jobs behind according to his campaign promise for 5000 new jobs.

He asked the premier to explain how the government plans to create 6300 jobs in their first year in office.

Gallant says the Liberals are talking about jobs in terms of programs they will implement and not net gain.

He calls it unfortunate that the member opposite doesn’t know his own numbers saying they have created 2600 jobs so far.

Gallant suggests the PC party should update the job tracker on its website.
