New Brunswick’s Court of Appeal is expected to hear an appeal today from a Moncton man convicted in a fatal drunk driving case from 2013.
Boyd Reginald Atkinson is currently serving a 10 year prison sentence for the death of Kathy Horsman. She was killed in April of 2013, after a head on collision near Berry Mills Road and Edinburgh Drive.
Atkinson was behind the wheel of the other vehicle. He was speeding and his blood alcohol limit was found to be 3.7 times the legal limit.
He has filed an appeal, claiming the sentence he received is too harsh..
