Prime Minister Harper Shuffles Cabinet

The Prime Minister’s Office has announced a major cabinet shuffle today.

Rob Nicholson is taking over as foreign affairs minister following last week’s sudden departure of John Baird.

Nicholson, who was defence minister, is passing that role to Jason Kenney, who was employment minister.

Pierre Poilievre is replacing Kenney, adding the portfolio to his current role as minister of democratic reform.

The changes were announced following a brief swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall.
