Moncton Shelter Still Has Free Beds Despite Cold

The cold weather will drive a lot of people indoors over the next couple of days.

But surprisingly, the House of Nazareth says they are not usually full during the bitter cold temperatures.

Coordinator Barbara Godin says they have a total of 30 available beds, but ususally on have about 16 or 17 clients on cold nights.

Godin says their numbers are usually higher in the summer months when people are travelling through Moncton.

The House of Nazareth provides a shelter, with meals three times a days. They also have a program for those who are just hungry and would like to come in and grab a bagged lunch to take with them.
