Healthcare has a staggering annual cost of nearly 3 billion dollars yet this province still has a lot of unhealthy people.
For this reason, the board at Horizon Health has adopted a new strategic plan 13 months in the making.
President and CEO John McGarry tells CHSJ News they will establish 5 Horizon Centres of Expertise that include Aging and Elder Care, Neurosciences and
Oncology.
He says they think its time to make some changes and do things in a different fashion and this plan will try to restructure and re-focus on some things they think will make a difference.
McGarry says the dollars they spend on healthcare haven’t produced a great result so, it was time to re-think the approach.
