Moncton Man Accused In Fatal Hit And Run Returns To Court

A Moncton man accused in connection with a fatal car accident on New Year’s Day in Bass River returns to court today for a bail hearing.

Thirty-two-year-old Ronald James Fairweather was arrested at a Cedar Street home, over a week after an accident that left a 19 year old man dead and two others in hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP say a stolen pickup collided with another vehicle on Route 116.

Fairweather is facing several charges including failing to stop at an accident causing death and operating a vehicle in a dangerous matter.
