Nova Scotia RCMP continue to investigate a fatal shooting in Bathurst.
They conducted a preliminary investigation yesterday, and have determined that police fired shots following an incident on Monday morning, but further details are not being released, because RCMP say the investigation is still in the early stages.
A 51-year-old man was shot and killed by police.
His name has not been released by RCMP, but reports indicate he was from the Tracadie area.
RCMP have not said whether or not the the victim was known to police.
