Lincoln Man Fails To File For 4 Years

A Lincoln man pleading guilty in provincial court to four counts of failing to file his personal income tax between 2009 and 2012.

Donald Richard Levesque was fined a total of $4000 for each count and that fine must be paid within 9 months.

Levesque was also given 90 days to file all of the outstanding returns.

The Canada Revenue Agency offers anyone who left something out when filing income tax a second chance to make things right through the Voluntary Disclosures Program.

If you come forward before you become aware that the CRA is taking action against you, you may only have to pay the taxes owing plus interest.
