More apples being recalled over listeria concerns.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning Scotian Gold Brand Apple Slices could potentially be contaminated with listeria. The recalled products have been sold in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
That recall being triggered by an agency investigation into the recall of Granny Smith and Gala apples exported by the Bidart Brothers in the U.S.
Those products, sold under the brands Big B and Granny’s Best, have been sold in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, PEI, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
