Extreme Cold Warning Continues, And Environment Canada Adds Snowfall Warning

If you were hoping for a breakthrough in the bitter cold temperatures today, there’s no good news for you.

The extreme cold warning continues in our region today, and we are also under a snowfall warning.

Meteorologist with Environment Canada Ian Khan says northwest air coming from Quebec is combining with a low pressure system to make it very cold.

“Currently North of Quebec, there is a lot of cold air so that is going to continue to pump down over us.”

Things will warm up significantly for tomorrow, but will stay below zero. Environment Canada is currently calling for about 15 centimetres of snow to fall in Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.
