Gilbert Finn Remembered Fondly By Many

A former New Brunswick Lieutenant Governor has passed away.

Gilbert Finn, who was appointed to the role in 1987, died last night at the age of 94.

He was also the former President and CEO for Assumption Life from 1962 to 1980.

VP and CFO at Assumption Life Robert Moreau says Finn he was a driving force behind the Company’s expansion including the construction of Assumption Place in Moncton.

He says, “He was heavily involved in being committed to making sure that the organization grew as a Francophone company and also as a influential player on the economic scene in New Brunswick.”

Finn was also a former U de M President, and he also helped to found the Georges Dumont University Hospital Centre.
