New Brunswick Power has confirmed reports of a transformer and pole on fire on Salisbury road by the Toys for Big Boys.
The Fire Department is on scene and working with Moncton Firefighters to end the blaze and assess the damage.
At this time, NB Power says the outage is affecting approximately 110 customers.
A representative from NB Power says the cause was a piece of equipment that failed in the intense cold but repair crews are working hard and will have power restored within the hour.
