The Salvation Army kettles are coming down, as the annual campaign wrapped up at noon today.
At last check , they were down in donations in the Maritimes as a whole, as compared to last year.
Spokesperson Rhonda Harrington says, “At this time in 2013, they had raised $1.52 million. They’re about $60 thousand short.”
Harrington says most cities in New Brunswick did very well, with the exception of Saint John.
“Moncton is up around $5700 over this time last year, and Fredericton is up over $11, 000. Saint John’s donations are way down, about $19, 000.”
Donations can still be dropped off or mailed to your local Sally Ann offices.
100 per cent of the money raised in the campaign stay right here in our region, and helps to provide for individuals, families children and seniors.
