Tips For Driving Over The Holidays

Travelling in the winter can be a challenge so being prepared could save a lot of stress if you have to trek through ugly weather over the Holidays.

The Canadian Automobile Association has some suggestions to help ensure the safety of motorists.

CAA recommends all drivers put together a winter driving kit with items like water, snacks, sand or kitty litter, a first aid kit, a blanket and warm clothing and extra windshield washer fluid.

They also suggest you have winter tires on your vehicle and to make sure your friends and family know the route you plan to take and when you should be arriving.

You should carry a fully charged cell phone and charger and they also recommend taking your car in for a tune-up before you head out.
