A 23 year old Rothesay man is due in court next summer in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to face child pornography charges.
Jacob Mackenzie Barrie is charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography.
The charges resulting from an investigation by the Cape Breton Regional Police Service–Internet Child Exploitation Unit regarding offences in April.
The investigation led police to a home in North Sydney where Barrie was living at the time and they seized three computers in late November.
With help from the K.V. police and RCMP, investigators arrested Barrie in Rothesay last Thursday.
Barrie is due in Sydney Provincial Court next June to face charges.
