Monetary Donations Desperately Needed For Christmas Food Box Campaign

Donations are still needed for the annual Christmas food box campaign.

Food Depot Alimentaire Dale Hicks says they need to fill 1750 boxes this year to help needy individuals and their families during the festive season.

He says, “They’re going to be delivered on Thursday from the Coliseum. As of this morning, we had the money collected for about 600 boxes. We buy the food in bulk to keep the prices down, so the food has already been purchased, now we just have to pay the bill.”

Last week, the annual Sue Stultz and Moncton Firefighters Association turkey drive exceeded its goal, that ensures each and every person in Southeastern New Brunswick has a bird on their table this Christmas.

Monetary donations can be made online, at the Food Depot Alimentaire office in the Caledonia Park or at Credit Unions in Moncton.
