Woman Faces Impaired Driving Charge In Hwy 11 Crash

A 54-year-old woman is facing an impaired driving charge after a head-on collision in St-Anne-de-Kent.

RCMP received a 911 call about a dangerous driver heading northbound on Highway 11 around 1:30 yesterday afternoon.

After responding to the call, a police officer swerved his vehicle off the road to avoid a crash but the driver struck the side of the cruiser and then struck another vehicle head-on.

Three people in that vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver from Paquetville was briefly hospitalized and she has now been charged.

Her name has not been released
