A huge financial boost for ALS Canada.
CEO Tammy Moore announced that the ice bucket challenge raised $16.2 million in Canada.
In New Brunswick and Nova Scotia alone, over $773, 000 in donations were received from the challenge.
Moore says all of the money will be split between research and support programs.
The $10 million for research is also being matched by the federal government through the Canada Brain Research Fund.
