Sick Children From Moncton Hospitals Excited for Arrival Of Santa Claus

The smiling faces of the children, that’s one of the best parts of a Santa Claus parade, but a special group of kids are especially excited for the Majesta Greater Moncton Santa Claus parade.

Past President for the Greater Moncton Progress Club Robert Gallant says for roughly 13 years now, they’ve been bringing sick children from Georges Dumont and Moncton Hospital, to see the parade.

During the parade the kids, the children, along with their friends and families all stand in the pedway between City Hall and the Blue Cross Centre.

He says, “Seeing the smiles on their faces and the fact that they get to enjoy a Santa stop right in front of the pedway, as he says Hello to them. It’s a really special time for them.”

Gallant explains this goes with one of their mottos, “Through the eyes of a child.” He says, “We want to make sure that kids who otherwise wouldn’t get the chance to experience life to the fullest, get a chance to.”

The Majesta Greater Moncton Santa Claus parade is planned for 5 o’clock on Saturday night.
