The by-election in Saint John East might be over but questions about why it had to take place are not.
Interim Conservative leader Bruce Fitch says Premier Brian Gallant has some explaining to do to the voters in Saint John East about Gary Keating’s sudden resignation after winning the riding for the Liberals by 9 votes which necessitated a recount.
Fitch says the Conservatives will be asking questions about why in the Legislature next month because what has been said thus far has been inadequate.
He also says people in the riding were expressing anger while Conservative Glen Savoie was campaigning door to door about why they had to have another vote so soon after the provincial election.
