UPDATE: Thousands Are Still Without Power

The nor’easter that blasted through the province this weekend leaving thousands of New Brunswickers without power as of early this afternoon.

There are currently over 9000 homes and businesses off the grid according to NB Power with Woodstock getting the brunt of it with more than 4000 outages.

The Rothesay district meantime experiencing more than 1700 outages with the majority in Clifton Royal and Rothesay itself. There are over 400 outages in the St. Stephen region, most of them in Musquash. There are more than 500 outages in the Moncton area with most in Riverside-Albert and Beaverbrook Albert County. In the Sussex area, over 70 customers are without electricity in Anagance.

NB Power saying on Twitter than in certain areas, road conditions are proving to be an issue and are holding up the movement of their crews.
