UPDATED: Four Burnt Church Men Missing After Going To Work In The Woods

Four Burnt Church men who were working in the woods have been reported missing.

It’s believed 21-year-old Cody Mitchell, 26-year-old Lee Mitchell, 42-year-old Lloyd Augustine and 38-year-old Andrian Joe went into the woods Sunday to gather tips from fir trees to make Christmas wreaths but they did not return home that night.

RCMP say the men did not tell anyone exactly where they were going however friends and family telling police they’re known to do this type of work in five locations: the Christmas Mountains, Heath Steele Mines, Big Bald Mountain, Mullin Stream and Fraser Burchill areas. They were last seen driving a maroon coloured, 2005 Chevrolet truck with New Brunswick license plate C-N-J 100.

An RCMP helicopter being called in to help with the search and the Department of Natural Resources is also helping.

Anyone who may have spoken to the men Sunday before they went into the woods or has information about their whereabouts is asked to contact the RCMP at 506-843-9400.
