Former Saint John MP Calls It A Very Sad Day

Paul Zed calls the Ottawa tragedy a sad reminder of how fragile our democracy is.

The former Saint John MP walked the very halls where shots rang out.

He says could never imagine gunfire in those halls.

He tells us he knows Kevin Vickers, the Sergeant-at-Arms who reportedly took down the Parliament hill shooter, is from Miramichi.
Zed says he is a senior RCMP officer adding his presence in those halls made everyone feel safe.

He calls it a very sad day and he calls it shocking that the halls of Parliament can be disrupted with such violence.
