If you’re lucky enough to have a family doctor, do your best to show up for the appointments you book, or call ahead to let the office know you can’t make it.
Horizon Health said in a release that out of 400,000 appointments booked in the province in the past year, 24,000 patients didn’t come.
Simply not showing up means that other patient’s appointments are needlessly delayed.
