If you have been near Highfield Square in downtown Moncton lately, you may have not noticed the teardown underway inside.
City manager Jacques Dube says demolition is underway, and so far it is right on schedule.
He says, “Demolition of Highfield Square is proceeding as planned. We are anticipating that by the end of November at the latest that the building will be demolished in its entirety.”
Dube provided an update on the proposed centre at City Council on Monday night, and has said if all goes well, they will have a deal in place by next February or March and construction of a new centre could begin in the spring.
